Get to Know Dr. Joseph Nierzwicki
Dr. Nierzwicki, or “Dr. Joe” as he is known to his patients, has been with Grand Dental – Franklin Park for his entire 10-year career. He believes the most fulfilling aspect of being a dentist is getting to work alongside a team he loves, in his own community.
Why Did Dr. Nierzwicki
Become a Dentist?
Dr. Joe grew up with family in the healthcare field and experienced firsthand the value of providing care to the community in which you live. He loves finding solutions to dental problems to help patients live a life free from dental pain and anxiety.
Where Did He Study Dentistry?
Dr. Joe is a Chicago native, and grew up minutes away from Grand Dental! He completed his undergraduate degree at Chicago’s Loyola University. After, he travelled to Omaha, NE to attend the Creighton University School of Dentistry. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery 2010 and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society. He returned to Chicago to practice dentistry near home.
He has completed several continuing education courses, including ones focused on composite restorations, crown and bridgework, endodontics, dental implant restorations, and sleep apnea therapy. He is also currently a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Chicago Dental Society.
Outside of the Office,
What Does Dr. Nierzwicki Like to Do?
Dr. Joe enjoys rooting for his favorite Chicago sports teams; the Bears, Bulls, and White Sox. He stays active by running along the lakefront and participating in local racing events; he has even completed the Chicago Marathons three times! Recently engaged, Dr. Joe also loves cooking and spending time in the kitchen with his fiancé.
