Dr. Steven J. Napier

As a founding dentist near Melrose Park, Dr. Napier believed in creating a place where patients could come and receive the highest standard of dental care. This was accomplished with the formation of Grand Dental. Helping to lead many qualified dentists and specialists, he ensures advanced technology and a multilingual team are part of the patient experience.

His decision to pursue dentistry started early on, leading him to earn his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as well as a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

When he’s not busy transforming smiles, you’ll find Dr. Napier with his wife and three daughters. He’s also an accomplished guitar player who has played with big names, like Kevin Cronin and Dave Amato of REO Speedwagon, Foreigner, Night Ranger, Jim Peterik of Survivor, and the Ides of March.

Dr. Joseph Nierzwicki

With 10 years of experience working in dentistry, Dr. Nierzwicki is a compassionate dentist near Melrose Park who has been with Grand Dental – Franklin Park his entire career. Knowing his future would include caring for others, he followed in the footsteps of his family, many of whom work in the field of healthcare.

As a Chicago native, he attended Loyola University for his undergraduate degree before enrolling at Creighton University School of Dentistry to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2010. There, he was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon. He then returned to Chicago to practice dentistry and remains an advocate of continuing education. His desire to refine his skills and seek additional learning opportunities means he has completed courses focused on composite restorations, crown and bridgework, endodontics, sleep apnea therapy, and dental implant restorations.

Dr. Nierzwicki is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society.

When he’s not taking care of patients’ smiles, you’ll find him cheering for the Chicago Bears, Bulls, and White Sox. He also enjoys running by the lake and participating in various local racing events. He’s competed in three Chicago marathons.

Dr. Ine Suh

Dr. Suh’s desire to become a dentist near Melrose Park stems not only from her own experience receiving superior dentistry and orthodontic treatment as a child but also from the lack of access afforded to those living in her grandparents’ rural village. Knowing how impactful oral healthcare can be to a person’s oral and overall health, she chose to complete her undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois. There, she was named a presidential scholar.

She then attended Marquette University School of Dentistry, earning her DDS degree as well as an award from the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry.

Dr. Suh believes in honing her skills so that her patients reap the benefits of having a dentist who is well-equipped and knowledgeable about the changes occurring in dentistry. This is why she is involved with the Seattle Study Club, the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society, and the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry.

Having lived in various parts of the world, including Germany, South Korea, and various states throughout the U.S., Dr. Suh settled in Chicago and enjoys running along Lake Michigan, participating in Pilates/yoga, going on hikes with family and friends, playing the violin, going to concerns, and taking in the local food scene.

Dr. Bruce Abdullah

As a specialist at Grand Dental – Franklin Park, Dr. Abdullah uses his three decades of experience to improve the looks, feel, and function of patients’ smiles.

Dr. Abduallah is not only a periodontist near Melrose Park but also an implantologist who earned his dental doctorate at the Loyola University School of Dentistry. He also has a master’s and specialty certificate in periodontology from Tufts University.

Not only is he board-certified, but he’s also a Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology – an honor that showcases his commitment to clinical excellence and continuing education. With extensive educational and professional experience under his belt, he has spent 25 years teaching within the department of postgraduate periodontology at the University of Illinois School of Dentistry.

Dr. Abdullah is a valued member of many professional organizations, but when he’s not working or researching, you’ll find him with his wife and two daughters. He also enjoys coaching golf, a sport both of his daughters enjoy playing.

Dr. Sam Allen

Another specialist who provides exceptional care to patients at Grand Dental – Franklin Park is Dr. Sam Allen.

As an orthodontist near Melrose Park, he chose to pursue this career field when he was only in seventh grade. Having to wear braces as a child, he discovered the transformational change that occurred because of his treatment, which is why he wants to help others experience the same.

After graduating from Utah State University with his undergraduate degree, he enrolled at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry to earn his dental degree. He graduated first in his class and later earned a certificate in orthodontics and a master’s degree in dentistry at VCU.

Once he completed his residency, he worked in Colorado for several years before resettling in Chicago. Here, he remains an active participant in continuing education courses, learning about the latest technology and more effective ways to straighten patients’ teeth.

Outside the office, Dr. Allen spends time with his rescue dog, Nugget, and takes walks with the family. He also remains active by engaging in early morning workouts, spending time with friends and family, playing tennis, and relaxing on the lake.
