Dr. Melissa Drab grew up only 15 minutes from our office! Since her mother was a dental assistant, she was introduced to the world of dentistry at a young age. She saw first-hand the deep relationships that were formed with patients. Having a positive impact on someone’s confidence and everyday health is extremely rewarding for her, and she can’t imagine doing anything else.
As mentioned above, Dr. Drab’s mom was a dental assistant which naturally sparked her interest in the field. She was inspired to begin shadowing at various dental offices – even her own dentist during college! The genuine connections that are formed with patients and the perfect blend of medicine, craftsmanship, and caring for people solidified that this was undoubtedly the profession for her!
After graduating high school, Dr. Drab earned her undergraduate degree in biology and Spanish at Augustana College. From there, she attended the Marquette University School of Dentistry. Throughout her college years, she worked as a part-time dental assistant. She also earned her CPR certificate, and she continues to maintain active memberships with the following organizations:
Dr. Drab has several hobbies that she enjoys when she isn’t at the office. One of them is rock climbing! She and her boyfriend, Adam, started rock climbing at a local gym during dental school, and they love challenging themselves with tricky routes. She also likes spending time with family, making jewelry, figure skating, snowboarding, and traveling.
